The Australian Lawyers' Cricket Council is seeking expressions of interest from players wishing to participate in the 5th Lawyers’ Cricket World Cup which is being hosted by Australia in Brisbane over the period 30 December 2015 – 9 January 2016.

Opening Ceremony 30th December 2015 – Grand Final to be played at the Gabba, 9 January 2016.
Format
5 x 35 over-a-side pool matches
1 x cross-over/semi-finals
1 x grand final

Australia (A & B)
India (A & B)
England (Barristers & Solicitors)
Sri Lanka (A & B)
Pakistan
Bangladesh
West Indies
+ another (likely to be NZ, South Africa or a Commonwealth XI)
Location
Games to be held at 3 grounds at UQCC, St Lucia and 3 grounds at WSDCC, Graceville. Final will be held at the Gabba.
Accommodation
Teams will be based at King’s College, UQ
Social Events
A number of functions have been scheduled for the evenings including at the Banco Court; Fernberg House (Government House); Brisbane City Hall; TC Beirne UQLS; Qld Cricketers Club; plus a NYE function at UQ. There is also a Law Conference.
Cost
Each ALCC player is required to be an ALCC member, which is $200 a year.
Accommodation is likely to be around $75p/n (approximately 10 nights).
There will also be additional costs for uniforms, etc. subject to sponsorship.
